Dear Parishioner,

Active Community engagement has been my priority while also dealing with issues arising from the Covid pandemic and Brexit. Being inclusive within a thriving Jersey community has been at the heart of my work and will continue to be so.

On an island affected by global events, I will continue to respond to our evolving needs with innovative and practical solutions. Housing, the cost of living, population, health and education are significant challenges for the future. The Assembly will have to address and agree sustainable solutions.

Ever since entering the States, my objective has been to help build a fairer society. Towards this objective, and as an independent Member and Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, I have challenged Government decisions, raised questions, brought forward propositions and amendments. I have been active in the States on your behalf.

I will continue working to eliminate waste and inefficiency in the public sector and at the same time ensure that health, education and pensions are properly funded.

I believe that a successful and flourishing Jersey depends on our collective efforts – from a thoughtful and caring government, from the financial contributions and the goodwill of the business sector and from the great work of charities and above all, Islanders themselves.

Key issues:

Better Government:

  • Tackle the high cost of living by – protecting essential living costs.
  • Ensure less goes to waste byspending public money wisely.
  • Diversify  the economy by- creating and supporting new industries whilst ensuring our existing businesses thrive.

Fairer Society:

  • Make home ownership affordable –  by finding ways to make home ownership achievable, particularly for our younger Islanders.
  • Ensure developments of St Helier are fair by the introduction of neighbourhood enhancement schemes.
  • Provide educational opportunities  by enabling Islanders of any age to achieve and fulfil their potential.

Future proofing

  • Pursue sustainability – by creating a healthy stable community, a thriving economy and an eco-friendly environment.
  • Deliver food security and affordability –  by supporting our agricultural community and a greater connection between town and country.
  • Demand a population strategy – that finds the balance between our need for skills and labour and our need to protect our natural resources.

I believe Jersey is big enough to be a diverse community and small enough to be a caring one.

If re-elected I will continue to work hard for you and will make progress on the projects on which I started to work during my term.

My leaflets will be delivered by me or by my supporters.

I will knock on as many doors as possible in the hope of speaking to you in person.
