A fairer, stronger and more resilient Jersey

Jersey is shaped by global change.
To succeed, we must stay adaptable, resilient and forward-looking.
Housing, the cost of living, population, health and education remain the key challenges the next States Assembly must address with practical, long-term solutions.
These are the values and priorities that guide my work as your States Member.
A Strong and Responsible Economy
A strong economy is essential to support public services and quality of life but strength must come with responsibility, what I call “Social Contract”.
I will support sustainable economic growth, cut duplication, waste and inefficiency in the public sector, and protect funding for health, education and pensions. This is about using public money wisely while investing in what matters most. Jersey’s economy should serve its people, not the other way around.
A Fairer Society
Since entering the States, my focus has been to help build a fairer society and that will continue. Fairness must sit at the centre of decision-making. That means supporting those who need it most, creating opportunities for people to thrive at every stage of life, and ensuring that economic growth benefits the whole community, not just those already doing well. A Jersey that works for everyone is one worth fighting for.
Community Wealth Building
More of Jersey’s success should stay in Jersey. Community Wealth Building means channelling the Island’s prosperity back into our own communities now and for future generations. I want to see local businesses supported, local jobs created and retained, and local produce and services used more widely across both the public and private sectors. When Jersey spends locally, Jersey benefits locally.
Health, Longevity and Prevention
Jersey must shift its focus from crisis response to prevention. Helping people live longer, healthier and more independent lives is not only the right thing to do — it also reduces long-term pressure on health and care services. I will push for stronger investment in early intervention, mental health support and community-based care, and for policies that enable people to stay active and independent for as long as possible. Longevity is not just about living longer. It is about living well.
Working Together
Jersey succeeds when government, business, charities and communities pull together. No single sector can deliver the Island we want on its own. A responsible and forward-thinking government, a strong and contributing business community, the vital work of charities and voluntary organisations, and the energy and care of our people, these are not competing forces.
They are complementary ones. When we work together, we build something stronger than any one of us could achieve alone.
A Resilient Future for Jersey
My approach is practical, balanced and focused on delivery. I believe in long-term thinking, responsible decision-making, strong communities and a government that listens and acts. Jersey has everything it needs to thrive.
My commitment is to help build an Island that is fairer, more resilient and ready for the future for everyone who calls it home.
